Description

Progressive Air was engaged by MCD Construction to deliver the full mechanical services installation for the major refurbishment of the iconic Lord Stanley Hotel in East Brisbane. This heritage-listed hospitality venue required a robust and high-performance HVAC and ventilation solution to support upgraded dining, bar, gaming, kitchen, and amenities areas — all while maintaining the character and functionality of the original structure.

The installation featured a mix of Temperzone and Daikin systems, along with extensive commercial kitchen exhaust, toilet ventilation, and a fully integrated mechanical electrical and control system. The project was completed with NEBB-certified commissioning to ensure compliance, efficiency, and long-term operational performance.

Scope of works included:

  • 4 x Temperzone packaged units

  • 1 x Daikin ducted air conditioning system

  • 1 x Daikin ceiling cassette system

  • 1 x Daikin wall-hung split system

  • 2 x kitchen exhaust systems

  • 3 x stainless steel kitchen hoods

  • 1 x filter fan unit

  • 4 x toilet exhaust systems

  • 1 x Main Switchboard (MSSB) and mechanical controls

  • Mechanical electrical works

  • Full mechanical installation and NEBB-certified commissioning
